    5 Benefits of Using Invisalign

Orthodontic treatments that make use of braces or Invisalign are just a few of the methods that dentists use in order to assist patients that have alignment issues with their teeth. Teeth straightening devices are designed to improve the look and function of the teeth by ensuring that they are properly positioned. However, patient often choose straightening methods based on comfort, treatment times and other factors that affect their daily lives as they undergo the treatments. Here are the reasons why you might choose Invisalign over traditional braces to correct problems with your teeth.

    Invisalign Appears More Natural

Many people prefer Invisalign because the aligners are clear, unlike traditional braces. With Invisalign, you do not have to be embarrassed about wearing the aligners because they aren’t readily noticeable when you smile. Even teenagers are opting for Invisalign thanks to this Benefits of Invisalign hammondunique advantage.

Traditional braces can also make it difficult to smile in a normal manner and can cause you to feel uncomfortable when you go out in public or if you are being photographed. In contrast, Invisalign aligners can be removed so you’ll never have to worry about missing out on capturing important memories with family and friends because of your teeth straightening procedure.

    Invisalign Is Comfortable to Wear

Invisalign has received much attention because it is significantly more comfortable than traditional braces. Invisalign is custom-fitted to your teeth and is made from plastic rather than metal. With Invisalign you will also find that your mouth is less irritated and you have less pain. Wearers of traditional braces often find that the braces scratch the sides of their mouth or cause painful irritation.

    No Tightening Required With Invisalign

Traditional braces must be periodically tightened, which not only causes discomfort, it can also mean that you are unable to function normally until the pain subsides. In contrast, Invisalign aligners are specifically fitted for you at each stage of the treatment so all you will have to do is simply change to the next aligner that has been recommended by your dentist.

    Oral Care Is Easier

When you are undergoing a corrective treatment for your teeth, it is still important for you to maintain good oral health. With traditional braces, normal brushing and flossing are nearly impossible and you are often unable to eat foods that may become lodged in your braces. With Invisalign, you can perform your normal oral care routine by simply removing the aligner when it is time to brush and floss each day. Using Invisalign means that your mouth will be fresher and cleaner.

    No Food Restrictions

With traditional braces, there are many foods that you will need to avoid including sticky foods, such as gum and candy. These foods can become lodged in the braces and may even damage the braces in certain instances. With Invisalign, you can enjoy your normal diet and you never have to worry about avoiding foods just because you are using Invisalign. When it is time to eat, simply remove the aligner and replace it once you have finished eating followed by brushing and rinsing.

Ultimately the decision of whether you can use Invisalign to correct your teeth will depend on an assessment by your dentist. Not all teeth issues can be fixed with Invisalign and some may still require the use of traditional braces. To learn more about your options, schedule an appointment with your dentist today.

I found the right orthodontist for me here in Hammond, LA here at this dental facility. When it comes to oral health, I really want the best and I really did search the city for the best ortho for me. When I got here, I am so happy and relieved that I finally found the one for me. She was very attentive and she made me feel very comfortable. The treatment is also very effective and now I have straight, white teeth!

I was advised to see an orthodontist to correct my bite. I am glad I saw your website and read some of the reviews. By reading those customers testimonials, I decided to go visit your dentist and I am not disappointed by the service you have given me. Added factors are the place is clean and well maintained.

THE DENTISTS AND STAFF ARE AMAZING! I haven't been to the dentist in 10+ years because my last visit was so traumatizing. Recently my tooth broke and another was fractured due to me constantly grinding them in my sleep. I couldn't have wished for better service. They were so nice and kind to me. The dentist kept me informed of everything that was going on while she was doing it. The office was really clean and comfortable. I even got a call a few days later to see how I was doing and was informed that I could come in for a follow up appointment to check the healing process free of charge! I would definitely recommend them and will be going back on a regular basis. Extremely satisfied customer....Donna Evans
