7 Reasons to Get Dental Implants

Dental Implants hammond LA Advanced Dental ConceptsWhen you have missing teeth, it can be difficult to chew your favorite foods. Speaking clearly can be a challenge and often you feel self-conscious about smiling.

Dentures were once the only solution for people with multiple missing teeth. Now dental implants are another option for those who need to replace a tooth or many teeth. Consider 7 reasons to get dental implants.

    1. Replace Missing Teeth

There are many reasons why teeth are missing including bone loss, fractures, cavities, periodontal disease, and more. Many Americans have missing teeth due to injury, tooth decay or gum disease. Dental implants are made of a titanium alloy that is implanted into your soft tissue and jawbone. Your gums heal around the implants, creating a strong foundation for dental crowns. This means natural-looking teeth can exist where there was once no teeth. People can eat, talk, and smile with ease.

    2. Get Rid of Dentures and Adhesives

People with dentures are also potential candidates for dental implants. Dentures need to be affixed with messy adhesive. Sometimes dentures shift or move while people talk and eat. Plus, dentures must be removed at night before bed. This means people will have no teeth during those hours, which could impact their desire for intimacy. Dental implants are permanently affixed to your jawbone and are not removable. This means people have teeth anytime of the day.

    3. Dental Implants Do Not Get Cavities

As people get older, their risk of tooth decay and cavities increases. Nobody enjoys getting cavities filled, despite the painless and innovative dental procedures that are employed today. With dental implants, there is no risk of getting cavities, despite the fact implants look and function like your own teeth.

    4. The Surgery is Simple

All it takes to get dental implants is a simple surgical procedure with minimal downtime. After a few days of recovery, you will be on the way to getting the smile you really want. Dental implants are surgically placed in your soft tissues and jawbone for a permanent fixture you can depend on. Once the crowns are placed, you are ready to flash your pearly white smile at everyone. When you are completely healed, you can start enjoying your favorite foods again.

    5. Go From Toothless to Toothy

In just a day, you can go from toothless to toothy. While it takes time for the implants to heal, the crowns can be placed to transform the appearance and function of your mouth. Depending on the patient, this can take as little as one day. You can walk into the dental office without teeth and leave with a full smile. This is amazing for people who have dealt with missing teeth for months or years of their lives.

    6. Natural Looking Teeth

Sometimes dentures look obvious even when they are professionally crafted. Dental implants give you natural looking teeth. They are also maintained much like your own teeth. You can brush and floss them to keep them clean. You will also need to schedule regular dental checkups. The days of taking your teeth out or eating soft foods are over. Dental implants are both functional and attractive. This means everything you do with your mouth can be accomplished with greater confidence and less worry.

    7. A Fabulous Smile for Years to Come

With dental implants, you can get a fabulous smile for many years to come. Dental implants can last for decades if you care for them properly. This means once the procedure is done, you can have total peace of mind about your teeth. For those who suffered for years, this can be a relief. All you have to do is enjoy eating, talking, and smiling as you flash your fantastic new teeth.

Just brought my little girl here for a cleaning this morning - and she had a really good experience. This was her first time at this dental office because our previous dentist retired and moved out of state, but they did a great job of making her feel calm and relaxed, giving her a "familiar" vibe, despite being in a totally unfamiliar place.

For the past few years I've been debating a tooth restoration treatment from my dentist here, and I finally took the plunge, and they look great! The reason I ended up going for it is, what's not to like? Their services are modestly priced, and the staff is loyal and friendly to their longtime customers (aka me!)

My sister in law recommended me the dentists here because she has little kids - like me - who felt nervous about going to the dentist, and said they do a great job here of easing them into the work they do, so that they feel more comfortable and open. Glad I brought them here!
